Contact information

A visible phone number, email or address — not buried on a separate contact page.

Why it matters

It is both a conversion path and a trust signal. Its absence is one of the strongest indicators a visitor uses to decide a business is not real. For local businesses it also feeds your map listing.

How to fix it, step by step

Quick fix — usually under ten minutes, no developer needed.

  1. 1Put the phone number in the header, and make it a tel: link so it dials on a phone.
  2. 2Include the full address in the footer if you have premises.
  3. 3Keep it byte-identical to your Google Business Profile — inconsistent details weaken local ranking.
  4. 4Add LocalBusiness schema so the details are machine-readable too.

How to know it worked

Contact details are visible on every page without navigating, and tapping the number dials on a phone.
